2020 Promo Shoot
Last Saturday we had our official MBI 2020 photoshoot. Since our first event in 2014, the promo shoot has become something of a tradition. It’s a chance for the finalists to meet ahead of the competition, as well as an opportunity to get professional quality group and solo shots for the finalists to keep and to send out to the media.
Over the years our shoots have taken place in various locations across Dublin, including the famous Hapenny Bridge, and Temple Bar in 2014, St. Stephen’s Green in 2015, the amazing graffiti walls of the Tivoli Theatre in 2016, and most recently at NGCC‘s brand new studio space.
Photographer Rick Taylor is a fashion, portrait, and commercial photographer, who has been documenting the Irish burlesque scene for over a decade.
Rick has worked with MBI since the competition began, his colleague and NGCC collaborator Eddie Kavanagh stepped in in 2019 for the winners shoot, as Rick had his hands full with his young daughter Luna, (who has taken on an advisors role in the studio)
